How are rentals priced?

Rental rates are based on 24-hour period.

How old do I need to be to rent a car from RAV?

All renters must be a minimum of 21 years old.

What type of drivers license is acceptable?

All renters must present a valid drivers license, with photograph, at the time of rental.

Do I need a credit card to rent a car?

Yes, you must have a valid credit card (not a bank or debit card), in your name, at the time of rental. A credit card authorization approval will be requested at the time of rental to be used as a deposit. This is only an authorization, not a charge.

Are additional drivers permitted?

Yes, additional drivers are permitted but they must have the same valid informations. How do I get my vehicle? We offer a complimentary shuttle service from the airport or your hotel. We are located on the exit road leaving the airport. When making your reservation we will arrange an approximate pick-up time.

Do you deliver the vehicle?

Yes, complimentary to the following desert areas:

1. Banning
2. Palm Springs
3. Cathedral City
4. Rancho Mirage
5. Desert Hot Springs
6. Palm Desert
7. Indian Wells
8. La Quinta
9. Thermal
10. Indio
11. Coachella

Outside these areas will carry a reasonable additional charge.

What coverage is offered?

1. The daily rental rate assumes the renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle and does not include insurance coverage.
2. Higher rates, depending upon type of vehicle, are offered that include damage coverage if you are unable or do not wish to use your own insurance.

Rental Requirements

All drivers must present a valid driver's license and credit card in their own name. Drivers must have a safe driving record and may be subject to a Department of Motor Vehicle check. Full coverage insurance is required on all our vehicles and must be verified prior to rental.

Cancellation Policy

We require a minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice:

• 48 hours or more cancellation notices are at NO CHARGE.
• Less than 48 hours cancellation notices are subject to ONE FULL DAY RENTAL charge plus all applicable taxes.

Special Equipment

Child safety seats are available for those who will be traveling to town with young children. We also offer complimentary cellular phones (not including minutes)

Holiday Hours

Location hours may vary. Please give us a call if you will be arriving on a holiday to discuss our locations hours of operation.

Rental Rates

All rental rates are based on a 24-hour period. Our vehicles are not available on an hourly rate.

Refueling Charge

You will be provided with a full tank of gas at the time of your rental. We ask that you return the vehicle with the same gasoline level. The fuel level amount will be printed on your rental contract. If you return it with less gasoline, we will charge you $5.50/gal used. (Rate is subject to change based on current gas price)

International Drivers

International drivers are welcome! We accept foreign drivers license for many countries, and of course all international licenses are accepted. Drivers with foreign licenses must present your passport along with your driver's license.

Late Charge

We do offer a 1-hour grace period. If you exceed the 24 hour period by more than 1 hour, a per hour late charge will apply to each hour late (starting from the first late hour) until you reach the daily rate. When the total late fee reaches the additional daily rate, you will be charge only an additional day. The late fee policy will then apply on the next day if needed.

Production Use

Additional photos are available of all our vehicles, for production consideration. Please contact our office and we will be happy to email you your request.

Professional Chauffeurs

For those of you that would like to sit back and enjoy the sights, we offer professional drivers at an additional cost. Please contact any of our locations for more information.

Complimentary luggage transfer service

Should you run out of luggage space in your vehicle, we will provide assistance to transfer your luggage to your hotel.

2nd Choice Vehicle

Although, we will try our very best to provide you with the vehicle of your choice. We ask for you to choose an alternative vehicle in the event your first choice becomes unavailable. Unfortunately, we have no control over vehicles not being returned by customers on time or if the vehicle is returned with physical or mechanical damage.

Driving Rules & Regulations in California

California state law requires that when you are traveling in a motor vehicle, the driver and all passengers must wear their seat belts at all times. Children weighing less than 50 pounds must be secured in a child safety seat. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a serious offense in California. A person is considered legally drunk when his or her blood alcohol level reaches .08%. It is illegal for anyone less than 21 years old to consume alcohol in any quantity at any time in California. Smoking is not permitted in restaurants, bars, theaters, auditoriums and most public buildings. In California, parking meters and painted curbs are in operation and are closely monitored 24 hours a day by the authorities. Citations and fines are expensive; to avoid them, be sure to read all parking signs carefully before parking your vehicle.

All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and full coverage insurance.

Drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage fee.

Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21

Must have valid driver’s license and full coverage insurance.

Additional Driver fee may apply.

Driving Area Restrictions

Vehicles are not allowed across the Mexico border.

Deposit Requirements

Our authorization deposit amount will vary depending on the type and value of the vehicle. Exotic and high-end luxury vehicles will require larger authorization amount.

The following are accepted for deposit:

Luxury Rent A Car provides Complementary Pick-Up Service to and from the Palm Springs intl Airport (psp)Los Angeles Intl Airport (LAX) and The John Wayne Intl Airport/Orange County/Santa Ana (SNA) from our LAX and Newport Beach offices. Please make arrangements for complimentary pick-up when placing your reservation.
